Refund & Cancellation

We want every engagement to be fair on both sides. This policy explains how cancellations and refunds are handled for our custom work.
01. Overview
This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how cancellations and refunds work for services provided by TheManki — a brand operated by Sanam Designs Wallah – Manki Space ("TheManki", "we", "us"). It applies alongside the proposal or statement of work ("SOW") agreed for your engagement; where an SOW states something different, the SOW prevails.
02. Nature of our services
Most of our work is custom and made-to-order — strategy, design, development, ERP configuration and automation built specifically for you. Because resources, time and third-party costs are committed once work begins, advances and milestone payments are generally non-refundable to the extent work has been performed or costs incurred.
03. Advances and milestone payments
Engagements typically start with an advance and proceed against milestones. Each payment covers the work and resources allocated for the corresponding stage. Completed and approved milestones are not refundable. Where you have paid in advance for a future stage that has not yet started, that portion may be eligible for a refund as described below, less any costs already committed.
04. Cancellation by you
You may cancel an engagement at any time by written notice. On cancellation:
- You remain liable for all work completed and costs committed up to the cancellation date;
- Any work-in-progress will be billed on a pro-rata basis;
- Amounts paid in advance for stages not yet started, less committed costs, will be refunded per the process below.
05. Cancellation by us
We may cancel an engagement if it cannot reasonably continue — for example due to non-payment, lack of required inputs or approvals, or a breakdown in the working relationship. In such cases you will be billed for work completed up to that point, and any unearned advance for stages not started will be refunded.
06. What is non-refundable
The following are not refundable once incurred or delivered:
- Completed and approved milestones or deliverables;
- Third-party costs paid on your behalf — domains, hosting, software licences, plugins, paid media/ad spend, fonts and stock assets;
- Setup, onboarding and discovery work that has been performed;
- Time and resources already expended on work in progress.
07. How refunds are calculated
Where a refund is due, it is the amount you have paid for the relevant stage, minus: work already performed (at the agreed rates), and any third-party or committed costs. We will share a brief written breakdown so the calculation is transparent.
08. Subscriptions, retainers and AMC
For recurring services — monthly retainers, support, and Annual Maintenance Contracts (AMC) — you may cancel with the notice period stated in your SOW (typically one billing cycle). Fees for the current cycle are non-refundable, and the service continues until the end of that cycle. Pre-paid annual plans may be refunded on a pro-rata basis for the unused full months, less any setup or committed costs.
09. Refund process and timeline
To request a refund, email mayank@themanki.com with your project name and reason. We will review and confirm any eligible amount, and approved refunds are processed to the original payment method, normally within 7–14 business days of approval. Timelines for the funds to reflect depend on your bank or payment provider.
